A couple of weeks ago I received a message on findagrave.
A tombstone for Tessa Ownby who died in 1877 at the age of 3 years, had been found in a house during a drug bust.
The messenger wanted to know if I wanted it so I could place it in her final resting place.
I told him that I was in Texas And couldn’t get to Tennessee to claim it and asked if he could do it for me.
I received a message last week that the police in the county where the stone was found had been transported to the county where it belonged and was now resting quietly next to Tessa’s brother, grandfather and aunt.
Thanks and a shoutout to law enforcement and a kind and loving stranger. There angels who walk amongst us
Tessa’s story is told in the A Vow Unbroken.
